Sankalp Forum: Catalyzing Impact Investments
The Sankalp Forum is holistic ecosystem designed to catalyze impact investments into sustainable and scalable social enterprises globally. Our mission is to create an enabling platform that supports socially relevant small and medium enterprises. We provide year-round access to investment opportunities, capacity building, knowledge and crucial networks.
We connect over 400 social enterprises, over 400 investors and funders, and 10,000 other stakeholders from across the world. In the past three years, more than two dozen of our enterprises have received investments, and over 160 others have been made investment ready through mentoring and capacity building programs.
Sankalp Forum in an initiative by Intellecap, an advisory firm that works in underserved markets. All our interventions are strongly grounded in our knowledge of practitioner needs that comes from the consulting, investment advisory and technology work that Intellecap does. We empower our community through workshops, round tables, focused networking meetings, knowledge building publications and reports, and multiple formats for accessing investments. The annual Sankalp Summit brings our entire network together to discuss emerging trends, and to recognize the best social enterprise models through the Sankalp Awards.

Agriculture, Food & Rural Business
Increased government focus and accessible advancements in biotechnology, rural technology and farm management has enabled the sector to play a greater role in today’s economy. India’s villages and rural economies are now moving beyond and creating innovative enterprises, be it rural BPOs, mobile platforms, organic farming, rural ATM’s and many more. The Sankalp Forums recognizes and highlights the achievements of these enterprises while giving them the opportunity to be a part of the larger impact investing ecosystem.

We seek to recognize and highlight innovative enterprises that deliver cutting edge solutions in the clean energy space. These enterprises provide or are developing solutions to communities that lack access to affordable and uninterrupted power. Sankalp provides a platform for these enterprises to engage within our ecosystem and build upon their capabilities, thereby serving their customers more efficiently.

Access to affordable education remains a challenge in most developing nations. As BoP communities look to meet basic needs, it is undeniable that access to education remains one of their top priorities. Today, there are a growing number of enterprises dedicated to delivering affordable education to underserved segments. Sankalp provides a platform for these enterprises to engage within our ecosystem and build upon their capabilities, thereby serving their customers more efficiently.

Health, Water & Sanitation
The Sankalp Awards recognize enterprises with sustainable and scalable models to provide access to affordable healthcare, clean water and better living conditions. If your enterprise is providing healthcare solutions to the BoP through technology or making clean water accessible, or providing a solution to sanitation and thus preventing disease, we encourage and invite you to showcase your enterprise through the Sankalp platform.
