In India, there are 75 Mn rural youth unemployed or underemployed. Of the population that has found work, over 80% are in the informal sector where salary is not guaranteed and access to benefits is limited at best. iMerit was created with the vision of bringing the power of the Internet economy to rural youth  and women to create jobs, build sustainable livelihoods, and empower marginalized communities. Combining technology innovations and strong account management,  our beneficiaries become our employees delivering high quality IT services such as Digital Publishing, Data Analytics, and Application testing to global clients including multinational corporations, libraries, academic institutions, major non-profits, and startups among others.

We work closely with our sister organization Anudip Foundation, which trains over 1,500 youth and women from BoP every quarter.  iMerit sees a future where all of India, including rural youth have access to digital livelihoods that can transform their lives. iMerit believes in Harnessing the Power of Digital Livelihoods to Transform Lives.
