Initiated in 2003, CAP Foundation is an innovative partnership between corporate, government and civil society that aimed to address poverty alleviation through linking learning and livelihood needs of working children and disadvantaged youth at risk. With a mission to provide continuous learning opportunities to deserving learners through well-designed vocational training programs, placement support, and advanced skill development programs, we made the shift to a self-sustainable Workforce Development Institute (WDI) in 2011 as a ‘for profit’ venture.
At our CAP WDI centres, we offer vocational training programs targeted at potential workers between ages 18 and 35. These programs are customized to impart market-oriented competencies for specific job roles across various sectors including Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality, Automotive and ITeS. We have partnered with different certifying authorities in recognizing the skills delivered. Along with on-the-job training, we offer placement assistance to our students. Overall, we have catered to more than 15,500 candidates between June 2012 and December 2013.
